MVNU music department presents Christmas Festival

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- The Music Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University will present the biennial Christmas Festival on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium.
The community is invited to join in celebrating the season with a wide variety of Christmas music. The concert will feature most of the Music Department choral and instrumental ensembles.
The Chamber Winds (brass and woodwind groups) will provide seasonal prelude music so come early. Choral selections include: Shepherd's Pipe Carol, In Dulci Jubilate, The Shepherd's Chorus from Amahl and the Night Visitors, The Hands that First Held Mary's Child (with cello and piano), Good Christians Now Rejoice, The Sound of the Round (with rhythm and flute), The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy (with steel drums and auxiliary percussion). The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform a medley of favorites in German Carol Festival. The entire audience and combined ensembles will join forces in conclusion with O Come All Ye Faithful.
