Senior art students to be featured at Schnormeier gallery
April 27, 2012
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Schnormeier Gallery, located in historic downtown Mount Vernon's Buchwald Center, will host MVNU's own senior art students as they exhibit their latest works. A reception, free and open to the public, will take place on Friday, May 4, from 6-9 p.m.
MVNU's senior art majors Sara Vecchi, Lyndee Chase Smith, Emily Fry, and Anna Gastin have been working hard the past four years to cultivate their artistic talents. After improving their skills and exploring their imagination throughout their college career, it is time to show the public their works! On display from May 4-16, fellow students and community members will have a chance to experience the hard work of each art senior.
Occurring in conjunction with downtown Mount Vernon's First Friday activities, this exhibit will present a culmination of a year's worth of work for the four senior art majors. All following diverse paths, these developing artists work in a variety of mediums -- from painting and drawing to contemporary collage and video.
Please join us as we celebrate the talent and hard work of the senior art majors. For more information, call (740)-397-9000, ext. 3040, or visit www.mvnu.edu/art-design.
