April 24, 2012
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene University is pleased to present "Rumors" in two performances under the direction of Michael Weaver. The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, and at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, in Thorne Performance Hall.
Simon's story involves four couples who are invited to visit the Mayor of New York City at his home to celebrate his tenth wedding anniversary. However, the guests soon discover that there are no servants, the hostess is missing and the deputy mayor has shot himself (not fatally). Hilarity ensues when the couples decide they need to do everything possible to hide the evening's events from the local police and media.
Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the door or reserved in advance by calling the ticket hotline at (740) 397-9000, ext. 3010.
