McCombs is studying at the Contemporary Music Center (CMC), a 4-month, off-campus study program sponsored by BestSemester.com and the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.

McCombs is on the Executive Track. She's managing students in the Artist Track, overseeing rehearsals, serving as executive producer at recording sessions and helping plan a series of concerts.

“Being at the CMC has given me hands-on experience that I probably couldn’t find anywhere else,” McCombs explained. “I'm serving as the manager for two artists here and learning the business aspect of the music industry, but I’m also gaining stage experience as a backup vocalist for many of the singers in the program. I’m truly getting the ‘best of both worlds.’”

A 2008 graduate of Wynford High School, McCombs is the daughter of Duane and Robin McCombs of Bucyrus, Ohio.

The Contemporary Music Center is one of 11 semester-away study programs created by the CCCU and BestSemester.com. MVNU students can also go to China, Russia, Egypt, Latin America, Oxford, England, Washington, D.C., Uganda, Australia and Hollywood to explore the integration of faith and learning in various disciplines.
