Israeli-Palestinian educator to speak on reconciliation

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Academic Dean of Bethlehem Bible College, Dr. Salim Munayer, will deliver a lecture on understanding titled "Reconciliation Between Israelis and Palestinians" in Mount Vernon Nazarene University's Thorne Performance Hall on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010. Time TBA.

The event is free and open to the public; it is the next installment in the 2009-10 MVNU Lecture/Artist Series.

Munayer is the founder and director of Musalaha, a non-profit organization/ministry that works toward reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians through the Biblical view of peace, love and justice. Serving Bethlehem Bible College since its founding in 1979, Munayer has been Academic Dean for almost 20 years. He is the author of five books on reconciliation, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Christian Palestinian identity. Munayer is also the first-time recipient of the Christian International Scholarship Foundation’s Scholar-Leader of the Year award.
