Community baby shower to benefit Care Net Pregnancy Services

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio --
WNZR 90.9 FM and Curves are hosting a special event to benefit Care Net Pregnancy Services of Knox County.

The community is invited to Knox County's Largest Baby Shower on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. to noon. The shower will be held at the Mount Vernon Curves, 909 Coshocton Ave.

Baby Wish List
As a part of its eighth anniversary celebration, Curves of Mount Vernon is collecting gifts for Care Net Pregnancy Services. Care Net's wish list includes:

  • Diapers size newborn to 4
  • Crib sheets
  • New baby bottles
  • Baby nail clippers and thermometers
  • Baby bath towels, wash and wipes
  • Safety latches and safety electrical plugs
  • Sleepers/outfits size newborn to 12 months (newborn and 0-3 months needed most)
  • New infant car seats
  • New or gently used cribs, bassinets and swings

Marcy Rinehart of WNZR's "The Morning Thing" will broadcast live throughout the event and give away a family prize basket. The Pink Cupcake Bakery is donating cupcakes for our baby shower guests.

Care Net Pregnancy Services of Knox County (formerly Knox Pregnancy Services) opened its doors in May of 1989. All services are free and confidential. Services include free pregnancy tests, education, support and referrals about issues relating to pregnancy, sexuality, adoption and infant care. In the last ten years, Care Net has served over 2,500 individual men and women in our community. Care Net is committed to empowering women and men by providing them with the physical, emotional, spiritual and material support they may need as they face unplanned pregnancies. Curves for Women is a 30-minute workout featuring circuit training. The cardio and strength training features exercises that alternate machines every 30 seconds. Owner Toni Spaulding and the entire crew invite you to support Care Net and their outreach to our community on Saturday, Aug. 30. Join the party and remember that your gift can help transform a life! Facility tours and equipment testing will be available as well.
