International communication expert to speak at MVNU
MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Dave Anderson, director of World Mission Communication and Creative Resourcing for the International Church of the Nazarene, will be the featured speaker during the chapel services on Wednesday, March 5, at 10:20 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Auditorium.
Currently managing the global media network for the Church, Anderson provides support for the international communication centers in six world areas. He has received numerous global awards for multi-image and film productions and received the Eastern Nazarene College Alumni Association Achievement Award in 1997. Anderson established World Mission DVD, a quarterly video resource for local Nazarene churches. It was conceived, designed and is still produced under his direction.
Anderson holds a psychology degree from Eastern Nazarene College, and a master’s degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary. He has completed post-graduate work in marketing at Webster University in Kansas City, Kan. While in seminary, he began working in the media department at the Church’s International Headquarters. There, he developed skills in photography, multi-image and film production, script writing and graphic arts.
Anderson and his wife Janet reside in Olathe, Kan., where they have operated a stock photography and picture-framing business for over 30 years.
