Eric and Tami with Paige and JessicaEric and Tami Buell are global missionaries serving since June in the MAC North Field (Mexico) for the Church of the Nazarene. From January 2002 to 2007, Eric was the Work and Witness coordinator for Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama and was also in charge of disaster relief for the three countries. Tami served as the field coordinator for Compassionate Ministries and Child Sponsorship. During this time, they assisted Dr. Paul Madtes, MVNU professor of biology, in planning and executing the first-ever MVNU medical mission trip to Nicaragua.

Prior to this appointment as intern missionaries, Eric served as a Nazarene in Volunteer Service (NIVS), working in Mexico with the missionaries helping coordinate Work and Witness teams. In these three years, Tami worked in a family practice office as a physician in La Joya, Texas, in a predominately Hispanic community. The Buells have two daughters, Paige (9) and Jessica (7).
