Presidential Charge Self-Study Goals and Guiding Principles The Higher Learning Commission Frequently Asked Questions and Answers Organizational Structure Self-Study Timeline Self-Study Design Accreditation Virtual Resource Room Information Updates MVNU Home / Higher Learning Commission Acquisition, Application, and Discovery of Knowledge Committee - Charge The Acquisition, Application, and Discovery of Knowledge Committee member is responsible for and empowered to: Become well-acquainted with all HLC criteria and requirements. Attend meetings called by the chairperson or vice-chairperson to report on the status of the respective projects. Participate fully in the committee meetings in a collaborative, congenial, insightful, engaging, and objective manner. Support the criterion committee chairperson in tasks involved in the self-study area. Adhere to all schedules and timetables for completion as assigned by the chairperson. Conduct research as assigned to meet needs of projects. Utilize the resources of the chairperson, vice-chairperson, self-study coordinator, and administration. Adhere to the highest standards of research and reporting ethics. Assist the committee in completing and submitting drafts of their chapter to the steering committee.
