Health care professionals in nursing, radiology, physical therapy, and other medical services can advance their administrative and managerial skills through this program.

The health care industry, now the nations second-largest employer, offers unique opportunities for service and compassionate care for others. MVNU students will be prepared to respond through an excellent curriculum framed within the context of Christian care and concern.

The MVNU Difference

The health service sector of the economy is projected to grow faster and add more jobs than any other industry sector. One out of every four new jobs will be in health care, social assistance, or education. The driving force behind these projections is the aging Baby Boomer population 76 million born between 1946 and 1964 placing increased demand on health care services.

We believe that these services must be expressed in a compassionate and loving manner. This is the MVNU difference. The entire MSM-HCA curriculum is integrated with Christian values and service. MVNU graduates are valued in the marketplace as highly competent and deeply committed care givers.

MSM-HCA Program Goals

Through completion of the program our graduates will:

  • Understand the structuring and positioning of health care organizations to achieve optimum performance
  • Understand financial management of health care organizations under alternative financing mechanisms
  • Learn the role of leadership and interpersonal communications in managing human resources and health care professionals in diverse organizations
  • Achieve competence in managing information resources and collecting, analyzing, and using business and health information in decision making
  • Understand legal and ethical analysis as applied to business and clinical decisions
