2005/2006: Collaborated with the students in the January Cultural Diversity class, another faculty member and the director of multi-cultural affairs at MVNU to design a teaching CD focused on Martin Luther King, Jr and other notable African-Americans. This CD was presented to participants in the Martin Luther King, Jr community breakfast and cooperating teachers.
2004: Expanded the inclusion of our junior level middle licensure Basics of Phonics candidates in Highland Public Schools
2002: Presenting a series of workshops on Multiple Intelligences for teachers in Sighisoara, Romania from March 25-29 through a USAID grant
2001-present: Organize the December Teacher Appreciation Dinner at MVNU
2001: Expanded the inclusion of our junior level candidates in the Literacy Collaborative to three other schools in the Mount Vernon Public Schools
2000-2001: Worked with Steve Tier, literacy coach at Elmwood Elementary School, in developing a program that would include our junior level candidates in Elmwood’s Literacy Collaborative
