Dr. Daniel J. Martin has served in a number of roles in Nazarene higher education. Prior to his most recent assignment as vice president of University Advancement at Point Loma Nazarene University, he served at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan., in various roles such as the vice president for Finance, vice president for Enrollment Development and executive assistant to the president.
Martin has two earned doctorate degrees in education from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Kansas. He also holds a law degree from the University of Kansas and a license with the Kansas Bar Association. His areas of academic study and research focus on organizational culture and leadership.

Martin's wife, Pam, graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She has taught in public schools and most recently served as an associate children's pastor at San Diego First Church of the Nazarene. They have two sons, Jacob and Josh, who are involved in a variety of activities and whose favorite hobby is visiting amusement parks.
