Serious about computer science? Interested in building robots and creating software?
Then this is the place for you!
MVNU's Residential Computer Programming Camp is for students going into 9th-12th grades for the 2007-08 school year (or 2008 graduates). All students should have completed at least Algebra I with a minimum grade of B.
However, it's not for everyone. It is for focused minds that are creative, like solving problems, and are interested in the details. This camp is also intentionally Christian, providing times for worship and Bible study.
Campers will:
- Build and create software systems
- Learn to design and develop computer programs
- Interact with computer science students and professionals
- Discover how to integrate computer science with a Christian lifestyle
Two classes being considered. Planned topics include (subject to levels of interest):
- Advanced Robotics
- Java programming
- Robotic Programming with Lego Mindstorms

- Registration deadline June 2, 2008; Full payment due June 16, 2008; $25 late fee after June 2.
- Registration with non-refundable deposit ($100 for residential campers, $50 for commuters) is due by June 2, 2008. Balance of camp fee is due by June 16, 2008. A $25 late fee will be added to registrations not paid in full by June 16, 2008. No refunds will be given for cancellations after June 16.
