Rev. Joe Noonen
serves as the University Chaplain at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He graduated with his bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from Mount Vernon Nazarene College (University) in 1980 and went on to earn his Master's degree in Missiology from Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1990.
During seminary he served as the Youth Pastor at the Shawnee Church of the Nazarene in Shawnee, Kansas. He pastored churches in Toledo, Ohio and New York City. While pastoring in New York City, Joe was appointed to serve as a Clergy Representative on the Mayor's Task Force for Victims of Violent Crime and served as the Manhattan Church of the Nazarene Zone Coordinator.
is involved with numerous philanthropic projects locally through her private family foundation, The Ariel Foundation. The Ariel Foundation concentrates on the arts, education, neighborhood revitalization and the park system. As a part of her efforts to benefit Mount Vernon and support the impact of MVNU on the community, Dr. Wright has partnered with the University, donating to University buildings downtown.
She has also made possible the construction of Ariel Arena, the new state-of-the-art home of Cougar athletics. Her most recent contribution to MVNU has been through the former Historic Curtis Inn, scheduled to open in the fall of 2015. It is her hope that this hotel will connect MVNU with the community so that the downtown area can be revitalized and repurposed.
currently serves as the Vice President for Medical Affairs at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where he has strategic, regulatory and operational responsibility for the medical staff, quality and patient safety, utilization management, hospital medicine, medical education, and pharmacy services.
During this time, OhioHealth Grant Medical Center has been listed as a top 100 hospital by Truven Health analytics and received the Everest award for the top 15 hospitals demonstrating the best performance and rate of improvement for 2013 and 2014. Process Improvement, patient safety and leadership development are his passions in a healthcare field undergoing rapid, transformative change.
