QUALITIES OF A 21ST CENTURY CHURCH LEADER
The Institute of 21st Century Church Leadership will seek to help participants develop, or further develop, these qualities:
A 21st century church leader will…
- Have acquired missional planning skills that allow them to intentionally fulfill their mission.
- Continually study cultural trends on both a local and national level.
- Have acquired skills in change and conflict management.
- Understand their unique calling and personal gifts for ministry. In turn they will seek ministries that are suited to God’s call and gifting for their lives.
- Seek mentors and seek to be mentors. They will engage in dialogue with others who have different worldviews or theological perspectives.
- Maintain a strong spiritual and theological foundation, knowing that failure to do so can lead to upheaval in their personal and professional lives.
- Commit to a lifetime of personal holistic growth spiritual, emotional, and physical.
- Learn to manage the “walls” that they hit through out their personal and professional lives.
