Scott Couchenour
(Session 1)
Scott
A. Couchenour is a certified life
coach. He founded Serving Strong, a
benefit to those in ministry through
resourcing, educating, and coaching
for life balance and self care. He
has over 20 years experience
personally serving in ministry as a
full time staff member,
bi-vocational staff member, and a
volunteer.
Scott is a 1987 graduate from
Youngstown State University with a
degree in Sociology. He also has over 19
years experience in business as Vice President
of Operations with Cogun, Inc., a
company that partners with churches
to develop the right ministry
space. He is a member of the
Christian Coaches Network and the
American Association of Christian
Counselors.
Scott and his wife, Jennifer, live
in Salem, Ohio. They have two
children: Anna and Samuel.
Mike Williams (Sessions 2 & 3)
Mike
is a 1977 graduate of MVNU and an elder in the Church of the
Nazarene. He has served as a pastor of urban and rural
congregations in Florida, Ohio, and Illinois. His pastoral
experience includes being a church planter and as lead pastor in
multiple staff settings. He has a range of experience at the
district leadership level and in various civic organizations of
the communities he served as pastor.
His primary responsibility is to oversee the Church
Leadership Network which works with local church pastors and
lay leaders on the MVNU region to help them be more intentional
in fulfilling their mission. His roles include on-site
consultations for churches, and as a church health coach for
pastors. He has also worked with Outreach, Inc. of San Diego,
Calif., to provide training for churches from various
denominations and has provided corporate leadership training for
Honda of America.
Williams and his wife, Kenna, reside in Mount Vernon, Ohio. They
have two children: Ben, a 2001 alumnus of MVNU who lives in
North Carolina with his wife Elliot, and Angela, a student at
Olivet Nazarene University.
