Course Withdrawal Due to Absences (First Two Class Sessions)

A student who has been absent the first two class sessions of a course—regardless of the length of the course and the reason(s) for the absences—will be automatically withdrawn from the course at the point of the second absence and issued a grade of "W" (withdrawal). The student will also receive a 100% refund (including all applicable tuition and fees) and will be charged for the course when it is rescheduled, using the appropriate tuition rate that is in effect at the point of registration.

In order to avoid being charged for any textbooks received for a dropped course, the student must either refuse the shipment at the point of delivery –OR– contact the textbook vendor no later than one week after the start date of the course in order to process a return shipment and receive a full refund (applies even if the original shipment has been opened).

Students enrolled in the BSW program will be charged a $150 resource fee for textbooks whenever they drop a course and are refunded all applicable tuition and fees. In order to receive a credit of this same amount, the student must either refuse the shipment at the point of delivery –OR– contact the textbook vendor no later than one week after the start date of the course in order to process a return shipment (applies even if the original shipment has been opened).
