MLS4063 Immunohematology .
A study of the most current theory, practice and clinical applications in the fields of the autoimmune anemias, blood group genetics, blood banking and transfusions. The course forms the foundation for practicing medical laboratory scientists. Topics include blood banking theory, blood antigens and antibodies, regulations, technical practice, and procurement, storage and transfusion of blood and its components.
Prerequisites: Entry into the MLS Program and a C or better in BIO3034.
