A survey of information systems in health care administration. Information systems are examined with respect to their composition, role, and development within the health care environment. In particular, topics include the technical and organizational foundation of information systems; the design, evaluation, and selection of computer resources; the organization requirements, roles, responsibilities for managing information technology in a health care organization; the process and management of information system implementation; and the current trends and issues facing information systems.
