Arena Construction Updates

The new structure will adjoin the redesigned Prince Student Union and will be a signature element of the MVNU campus community.

The facility will enhance the sense of community on campus and be an attractive venue for concerts, performances, and other special events.

A spacious lobby with an arena overlook will provide an additional gathering space on campus.

MVNU athletes of all types will enjoy 3 full-sized courts, an athletic training center, cardio fitness and weight rooms, and new locker rooms.

This new facility will immediately become one of the largest event spaces in Knox County, Ohio.

The final project will include a completely redesigned 586 Café and two new concession areas.

This unique feature will allow attendees to keep track of the action from an additional gathering space above the center court.

The new arena will be home to the Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams.

The arena will be specifically designed to match and enhance the look and feel of the rest of the MVNU campus.

Stadium seating will frame the center court on three sides, in a horseshoe shape.

In addition to athletics, the arena will seat 3,000 for a variety of community gatherings and special events.

The facility will also feature classroom space, which can also be configured as a banquet hall seating 225.

The arena windows will be equipped with special shades to provide for theatrical and mood lighting.
