Personal Development and Research Skills (3)
This course is designed as an orientation course for adult students returning to higher education to complete an undergraduate degree. Topics to be covered in this course include: personal goal development, adult learning methodology, temperament type analysis, adult study skills, time management, library research, literature reviews, personal assessment, and other subjects relevant to goal achievement in an academic environment. Students will be provided with a computer in the fourth week of the class.

Computer Applications for Managers (3)
This course is a study on how to use a microcomputer to assist in decision-making and to boost productivity within the business environment. This course provides an introduction to popular business application software for spreadsheets, database management, and presentation graphics using the Microsoft Office Suite software.

Business Communication (3)
A study of written and oral communication skills that are essential for communicating successfully in organizations. This course will use simulations, case studies, and application assignments to focus on the process of written and oral communication in the business environment.

A study of the administration of an organization with emphasis on planning methods, organizing techniques, motivating factors and controlling procedures.

Foundations of a Biblical Worldview (3)
This course will explore the biblical perspective on God and His relationship to the world; God’s response to human sin; and the nature, characteristics, and values of the Kingdom of God. As a result, the student will gain an understanding of the biblical worldview, God’s redemptive activity as recorded in the Bible, qualities of the Christian life, and the meaning of a life lived in the Kingdom of God. The course aims to prepare the student to make choices and decisions in life that will be other-centered and life-transforming - decisions that are shaped by one’s commitment to practice and promote the biblical worldview.

Human Resource Management (3)
A study of the role of human resource management as a staff function within the organization. The human resource management functions of recruitment, interviewing, human resource planning, equal employment, job analysis, wage and salary administration, management development, training, compensation, and labor relations are examined. An investigation of the interpersonal relationships of employees in the organizational setting is also considered.

Survey of Accounting (3)
This course will study the role of accounting as used in organizations. Organizational leaders need to understand accounting reports and analysis of these reports. They need to understand accounting vocabulary and how to get data and information they want. They need to know how to use accounting as a strategic tool in organizations.

Organizational Communication (3)
This course is designed as a study of theories, principles, and practices for organizing and communicating. Special emphasis is given to the functional and structural aspects of organizational communication such as organizational effectiveness, intelligence, and networks.
FIN3013
Basic Finance (3)
This course is to provide an overview of the basic topics in the field of financial management. The student will be introduced to financial institutions, to investment decisions, and to the basics of business/corporate finance. Emphasis will be placed on how finance is used by leaders in various organizations.
MAN4043
Business Ethics and Law (3)
This course studies ethical theories as they relate to various contemporary problems in the business world. Emphasis is placed on class participation and practical application. For example, students develop a Code of Ethics for their organization. Special consideration will be given to the Biblical foundation of values and the application of Christian ethical principles in the business world. This course also examines, analyzes, and applies the nature, formation, and system of law in the United States to the modern business environment.

Business Research Project (3)
In this course, students develop skills and abilities in the research, writing, and presentation in a scientific manner of descriptive and empirical data. The course is designed to provide the student with a real-world opportunity to solve a significant management or business problem, make an important enterprise decision, capitalize on a business venture, and implement a plan of action to improve the company or agency. Students select, design, research, and write an extensive project report for business or government.

Principles of Marketing (3)
An introduction to the theory and practical application of marketing principles. The basic objectives are to provide a broad introduction to marketing concepts, the role of marketing in the firm and the various factors that influence marketing decision-making.

Leadership (3)
This course is designed as a study of the current understanding of leadership theory and practice, with the goal of developing the student’s personal theory of leadership.
MAN4033
Strategic Planning (3)
This course examines the development, implementation, and reformulation of business policy and strategy. This course stresses the need for awareness of, and accommodation to, change in a company's internal and external environments. Generic types of business strategies and techniques for analyzing strategies are also covered.
