The students will receive their recognition and awards at the iNRB Awards Showcase on March 3rd at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.

The Communication Department at Mount Vernon Nazarene University wants to help you fulfill your vision of putting your talents to work to serve Christ and others.

The MVNU communication faculty is committed to teaching communication concepts infused with the Christian values of truth, righteousness and goodness, to enable you to enhance personal relationships, contribute to human society, and advance God's kingdom.

We want to help you use your communication skills as an instrument of God to transform a fallen world by preparing you to be a Christlike leader for lifelong service.

Communication coursework includes public speaking, small group processes, and mass media, along with specialized classes in areas such as radio production, stagecraft, communication research methods, and rhetorical history. Communication majors may choose from the broadcasting, drama, or general tracks, or can prepare for teaching language arts in high school.

Opportunities for participation in related activities abound, including WNZR-FM (the campus radio station), drama and musical productions, and involvement on the campus newspaper or yearbook staff. Internships provide a real-world experience to prepare you to take on a job after graduation or to go on to graduate school in communication or a related field.
